Attention racers and fans of Airfield Drags. It has been confirmed for the 2024 season, we are on for racing once again. This years race will be held again at Dr Haines airport in Three Rivers. We will be shutting down the runway to air traffic to race a different kind of traffic on Aug 9th and 10th 2024. Once again Fri will be test and tune and Sat will be the race. Like last year we are planning on eliminations on Sat. Registration for this years race will open at 8am on March 1, 2024. We will do all entries via email, no early registration will be allowed and you must pre-register for the event. We realize our criteria for “vintage cars” may be slightly unpopular with some. Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE modern muscle cars and trucks! However, Airfield Drags was established to create the feel of how drag racing used to be back in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Therefore our criteria of “1979 or older” vehicles will remain for this year. HOWEVER, we are evaluating options to get some of your modern vehicles out on the runway to do some racing.
